Vector Illustration

This is my vector illustration. This project by far has been my favorite in the course up to this point. While it was incredibly challenging and time consuming, I am proud of my final product. I decided keep the bottom half of the background; however, I chose to make the top half of the background one solid color and used the gradient tool. The most challenging part of this project was replicating the rough texture of the tree. Also, I had to be incredibly patient and use the pencil tool to  make the panda look furry. Overall, I am very satisfied with my vector illustration and am happy that I am learning more about Illustrator and the different tools available within the program.

Fabio

This is Fabio. He is a robot bird who lives alone in the only tree in the park. He longs to one day move his nest closer to the mountain that he can see everyday from his home in the tree.

"Addinkted" Logo

I decided to create a logo for a fictional company that would strategically design and generate sleeve tattoos for people. I decided to name my fictional company "Addinkted." The font I chose was Trattatello because of its grungy aesthetic. I made the color of my company name red because it contrasts with the background, therefore; it stands out. Also, when you get a tattoo ink is injected into your skin, which makes you bleed. This red color may also be associated with blood. Also, I decided to have my logo back because ink is black. I based my logo off one my original rough sketches. I chose the horse chess piece to represent my logo because it is a symbol of strategy. Strategically placing tattoos together is also like completing a puzzle. This is why I decided to incorporate puzzle pieces in my logo. Lastly, I decided to make ink drip from the bottom left corner of the logo to further emphasize that this company is a tattoo company.

Elephant Caligramme

I used Adobe Illustrator to create my caligramme. I chose to make an elephant because that is my favorite my animal. I used words that are often associated to elephants to create the entire image. I used shades of brown and grey for the text.
